Bring exterior walls and painted details into a considered finish. Discuss preparation, colour and outdoor painting with Neart Construction.

YOUR PROPERTY.   YOUR COLOURS.   THE FINISHING DETAILS.
Start with the surfaces

A change of colour.
A considered refresh.

Tired paintwork, a different colour scheme or finishing after repairs. An exterior painting project starts with the condition of the surface, not just the colour you want to apply.

Neart Construction offers exterior painting across Cardiff and South Wales. Share photographs and a list of areas to include with Greg so we can discuss preparation, access and the information needed for a quote.

What needs attention?

From outside walls
to painted details.

Tell us what is already painted and what you want to change. Surface condition and product suitability guide the scope.

01 / EXTERNAL WALLS

Refresh the bigger picture.

Discuss repainting suitable rendered or previously painted wall surfaces. Flag cracks, peeling finishes, staining or previous repairs before a coating is selected.

02 / EXTERIOR WOODWORK

Bring the details together.

Include painted doors, frames and other exterior timber in the conversation. Existing condition and the proposed finish need consideration before work is defined.

03 / PAINTED FEATURES

Consider the complete frontage.

Share any other painted details you want included, such as suitable railings or garden features. Identify the material and current finish so the proposed work can be discussed.

Before choosing the colour

Understand the surface.
Plan the preparation.

A useful brief covers condition, exposure and access, as well as appearance.

01 / EXISTING CONDITION

Show the problem areas.

Share close-ups of flaking paint, damaged areas and recurring staining. Causes and any required repairs need consideration before a new finish is applied.

02 / MATERIAL & COATING

Know what is being painted.

Tell us about existing finishes and any product information you have. The proposed coating should be considered for the surface and setting.

03 / ACCESS & PROTECTION

Consider the work area.

Flag height, side passages, planting, parked vehicles and neighbouring access. Discuss access equipment and protection of surrounding features.

04 / COLOUR & SCOPE

Include the smaller details.

Bring references and list walls, trim and other areas separately. Agree products, preparation and which materials or work are supplied separately.

Outdoor work needs flexibility

The right conditions.
A practical programme.

Painting outside needs to be planned around the site and the chosen products.

Discuss weather exposure, surface condition and product requirements when considering dates. The programme may need to change rather than treating an outdoor job like an indoor room.

If repairs, guttering or other exterior work are planned, discuss the sequence together. Clarify what must be completed before painting and how access equipment will be arranged.

Your questions

Before we paint.

Can you paint just one part of the exterior?

Tell Greg which areas you want included. Share photographs of the surfaces and adjoining finishes so the scope can be discussed.

Can I choose the colour?

Share references and any chosen products. Discuss suitability for the surface and setting, alongside any relevant constraints for your property.

What if the paint is peeling or the wall is cracked?

Flag the affected areas at the start. Existing condition, causes and any required repairs need consideration before new paint is applied.

Can previously unpainted brickwork be painted?

Discuss the existing wall and proposed finish before choosing a coating. Suitability needs consideration for the property rather than assuming every masonry surface should be painted.

Can doors and exterior woodwork be included?

List each item when enquiring and share photographs. Condition, preparation and the intended finish help define what is included.

Will scaffold or other access equipment be needed?

That depends on height, access and the work involved. Discuss the proposed arrangements and their effect on entrances, paths and adjoining areas.

Can weather change the dates?

Yes, conditions can affect outdoor work. Discuss how the programme and updates will be handled alongside the requirements of the chosen products.

Can painting follow other exterior repairs?

Share the complete plan so the sequence, access and readiness of surfaces can be considered together.

Where do you work?

We cover Cardiff, Penarth, Barry, Dinas Powys, Caerphilly, Newport, Cwmbran, Blackwood, Pontypridd, Llantrisant, Cowbridge and Bridgend. Share your postcode when you get in touch.
