STORAGE.   WORK.   SPACE FOR WHAT MATTERS.
Start with its purpose

A useful building.
A space of your own.

A secure place for tools and bikes needs a different brief from a room you plan to work in. Start with how you want to use the building and the practical requirements that come with it.

Neart Construction offers sheds and garden rooms across Cardiff and South Wales. Share your garden photographs, approximate dimensions and priorities with Greg so we can discuss suitability, the proposed scope and information needed for a quote.

Storage outside.
Room for your plans.

The intended use, site and specification guide the conversation. These are starting points for your project.

01 / SHEDS & STORAGE

Give outdoor essentials a home.

Discuss storage for garden equipment, bikes and household items. Consider internal dimensions, door openings and how you will reach the things inside.

02 / GARDEN WORKSPACES

Make space to focus.

Explore a room for working from home. Share equipment needs and discuss lighting, power, comfort and connectivity within the proposed specification.

03 / HOBBIES & EVERYDAY SPACE

Room for what you enjoy.

Tell us whether you want a hobby room, quiet retreat or another everyday use. Furniture, equipment and how often you’ll use it all shape the brief.

Plan the site and the building

Think beyond
the floor area.

A useful plan includes access, preparation and how the building sits within the garden.

01 / POSITION & ACCESS

Picture the daily route.

Share the preferred position, garden entrances and delivery route. Consider doors, paths and access around the completed building for maintenance.

02 / GROUND & BASE

Understand the starting point.

Flag slopes, existing bases and water collection. Site conditions and the proposed building need consideration before assuming a base is suitable.

03 / USE & COMFORT

Choose a specification for the job.

Tell us when and how often you expect to use the space. Discuss insulation, ventilation and other requirements against the intended use and chosen construction.

04 / SERVICES & FINISHES

Bring the complete brief together.

Share power, lighting and equipment needs alongside exterior and interior finishes. Confirm any specialist work and who supplies each element.

A product to assemble or a wider build?

Clarify the supply.
Define the work.

Tell us whether you already have a building in mind or want to discuss a proposed project from the start.

If you’ve chosen a supplied building, share the dimensions, product details and installation instructions. Confirm what the package includes and what preparation or separate work it requires.

Discuss any permissions, design information and other requirements relevant to the proposal before scheduling installation. Changing the intended use can change the project brief, so flag it early.

Your questions

Before we build.

What is the difference between a shed and a garden room?

The useful distinction is the intended use and specification. Basic storage and a regularly occupied workspace have different practical needs. Tell us what the building should do before discussing the construction.

Can you work with a building I’ve already chosen?

Share the product details, dimensions and installation requirements. Supply, preparation, suitability and the work needed must be discussed before the scope is agreed.

Can an existing base be reused?

Send photographs and any information about its construction. Condition, dimensions and suitability for the proposed building need consideration before reuse can be agreed.

Can power and lighting be included?

Neart offers electrical services. Discuss your equipment and lighting requirements within the project scope, including the assessment and any specialist work needed.

Can I use a garden room throughout the year?

Discuss your expectations early. Comfort depends on the chosen construction, insulation, ventilation and other specification details; it shouldn’t be assumed from the label “garden room” alone.

Can a garden room be used for sleeping or accommodation?

Flag this intended use before choosing a building. It requires separate consideration of the design and applicable requirements; it is not assumed within a general garden room enquiry.

Do I need permissions for the building?

Requirements depend on the property and proposal. Establish the relevant position for your site with the appropriate authority or adviser before committing to the build.

Can the work include a path or decking?

Discuss the complete outdoor layout so access, levels and the sequence of related work can be considered together.

How long will the work take?

The programme depends on preparation, supply, specification, access and site conditions. Share preferred dates so the practical arrangements can be discussed.

Where do you work?

We cover Cardiff, Penarth, Barry, Dinas Powys, Caerphilly, Newport, Cwmbran, Blackwood, Pontypridd, Llantrisant, Cowbridge and Bridgend. Share your postcode when you get in touch.
